Update on Burglaries Where You Live

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding burglaries (including shed and garage burglary) issues, which people where you live are highlighting as an issue of concern in their survey responses.

At about 03:40 on 12/05/26, a bungalow on Princess Court, Spennymoor, facing onto Carr Street. The suspect has gained entry via an open kitchen window. If you live within the vicinity of the area and you have CCTV or ring doorbell please can you check your footage between 03;00hrs and 04:00hrs on the date stated. Please can we ask everyone to be vigilant and keep your house, garages and outbuildings secure. We advise you to keep your doors locked, even if you are in your property. If you see anything suspicious, please call either 101 (non emergency) or 999 (emergency).
