Update on Road Safety Issues Where You Live

I wanted to provide you with an update regarding road safety issues including speeding, dangerous driving and parking, which people where you live are highlighting as an issue of concern in their survey responses.

Parking Concerns- Wheatley Hill Primary School

Parking in the vicinity of Wheatley Hill Primary School has become a matter of local concern. Police are currently addressing issues relating to obstruction and vehicles parked in unsafe or inappropriate locations that may pose a risk to children, pedestrians and other road users.

Additional concerns have been identified in relation to the Gleesons development site, which is currently undergoing construction. Officers are working in partnership with relevant agencies to manage and reduce the impact of parking associated with this site.

Following the issuing of warnings, enforcement action will be taken where necessary. Traffic enforcement officers have been notified of the ongoing concerns and will be conducting regular patrols of the area.

Any individuals wishing to raise concerns regarding parking issues in this area are encouraged to do so through the appropriate person or agency.
