Weekly Update Darlington Neighbourhoods

🚨 PC Paul Clarke and PCSO Matthew Armstrong worked in partnership with trading standards and visited a number of premises in Darlington in relation to illegal sale of vapes and cigarettes. All the premises visited were advised about underage sales legislation and illegal (unsafe) product was seized from two of the premises. This was a great result and important in keeping the community safe. Trading standards will take action in relation to the premises.

🚨 PCSOs from the Darlington Neighbourhood team along with probation received training in relation to a new initiative. This involves working together to provide support to people on probation and to test whether a new and joint approach to managing vulnerability could enhance rehabilitation and reduce reoffending

🚨 A magistrates search warrant was executed at an address on Arkle Crescent by the East and North Neighbourhood teams, where a quantity of drugs was seized, and one person was arrested and interviewed in relation to drugs offences. Further investigation is ongoing in relation to the warrant.

🚨 A huge thanks to you, the public. Following a call reporting suspicious behaviour, where a male was hiding a bike in bushes on Redhall, a stolen bike was located, recovered, and returned to its owner. #policeandcommunitiestogether #PACT

🚨 PC Jane Muir dealt with a male committing traffic offences on an off-road bike. He has been reported for the offences and a file submitted to court.
